Analysis on the relationships between dust retention amount and leaf stomata traits of five evergreen plants

Air pollution in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has caused widespread concern. In winter, the combustion of fossil fuel produces a very high proportion fine particulate matter air. However, vegetation coverage is relatively low. The dust retention evergreen plants particularly important for improving air quality. this study, five species were selected, and effects leaf stomatal characteristics (stomatal width, length density) greening winter on explored. results showed that: (1) highest percentage PM 10 , 2.5 1 retained by Yucca gloriosa followed Buxus sinica Phyllostachys propinqua (2) There was positive correlation between density, width TSTP, while TSTP Our study can provide scientific guidance plant planning to improve urban pollution.
